The GEFA's inspiration is a passion for the alternative medicines based on natural products as plants, fruits, vegetables and their benefits presented under most innovative galenic forms.

This tendency gets us to turn to the development and the manufacturing of food supplements and dietary products in 1991.

The tablet shape, which was our first trade and stays our main activity evolving towards more elaborated galenic presentations as coated tablets or sugar coated tablets. It is to note that GEFA is approved by Ecocert as an organic products manufacturer and is at the beginning of entire Organical Plants tablets in France.

This know-how is not limited to the tabletting, we also assure the filling of hard capsules , sachets of powders, sachets of jellies and sachets of liquids. We propose regularly to our European or foreign partners innovative ingredients from natural origin thanks to qualified development service (Pharmacists).

Our packaging line to put under blister packs and boxes is completely automated, a constant monitoring via a camera detect and ejects the not conform packagings. The packaging in jars or pillboxes, under sachets or in bottles is partially automated and made in specific cells.

To have a production tool always more competitive, GEFA did not stop investing since its creation. To date we have 28 specific cells for every stage of the production on a surface of 2 000m ². Year 2004 will be the one of change, the current building is going to be completely reshaped to be adapted to our current productions and the production surface will be doubled. The tool production park, partially renewed these last two years, is going to be completed to have a better and better quality production, a control and an optimal traceability from the raw material to the finished product.

Since the beginning of 2000 the HACCP rules are in place, followed and controlled by our Control Quality Service under the responsibility of our Pharmacists.
